About this print 

‘The Royal Town’ is a contemporary Sutton Coldfield art print, celebrating the town through a collection of its most recognisable landmarks.

At the heart of the composition stands the iconic Royal Town sign, surrounded by architectural landmarks including Sutton Coldfield Town Hall Clock Tower, the former Midland Bank, Holy Trinity Parish Church, The Old Art School, the Royal Cinema, the United Reformed Church, the Sutton Park Town Gate entrance hut, Nando’s and the distinctive tower at Aldi. Rendered in Brumhaus’ signature geometric style and muted colour palette, the artwork brings together the character, heritage and identity of Sutton Coldfield in a single composition.

Artist’s note:

I’ve always thought the Royal Town sign deserved to be the centrepiece of a Sutton Coldfield print. Although countless artists have painted individual buildings and landmarks, I wanted to create something that felt uniquely Sutton and immediately recognisable to those who know the town.

The challenge was finding a way to make the sign work as more than just a landmark. By using it as the focal point and gathering the surrounding architecture beneath it, I was able to create a composition that feels part civic poster, part celebration of place.

Whether you’ve lived here all your life or simply have fond memories of the town, I hope this piece evokes a sense of connection to this unique corner of the West Midlands.

Standard 16mm frame

A classic style frame consisting of a timber frame painted either black or white with a smooth finish. These come without any mount. Please note the artist signature appears in the printed area.

Premium 23mm frame

• Glass glazing (2mm float glass).

Unframed Prints

FREE POSTAGE to UK & EU.

For the rest of the world the shipping costs £20.

Prints are shipped in hard protective card tubes. Orders usually dispatch within 1-2 weeks. UK orders are posted Royal Mail First Class Signed For or Parcelforce for very large items.

EU & rest of world orders are posted International Tracked. International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties and courier handling fees set by your local authorities. These charges are not included in our prices and must be paid by the recipient.

Framed Prints

These are collection only from postcode B73.

Orders are typically ready within 2-3 weeks. I will send an email with collection instructions when they are available for pick up.

Care Instructions

Unframed prints which are posted out will be rolled up with a protective layer of tissue. Handle your art print with care when opening as dark areas of the print may mark easily.

To flatten out rolled up prints carefully remove from the tube and lay it out, image side up, on a flat surface. With the tissue paper still covering the print's image, place a few, smooth, flat, heavy objects (such as books) on the ends and middle of the print. Then let it sit for a couple of hours.

Everything you buy from this website is carefully prepared to your order by the artist. All prints are hand signed before posting or framing (frames are collection only).

    All unframed print orders receive FREE SHIPPING to UK and EU addresses. No order minimum. Note: All framed prints will need collecting from my home studio at postcode B73.

  • Hassle-Free Exchanges

    Orders can be exchanged if you notify me within 30 days of receipt. Items must be returned in like-new condition with original packaging and materials.
